AIDS Foundation of Chicago Advocacy Days

Location: Illinois State Capitol – Springfield (free transportation from Chicago to Springfield)
Governor Bruce Rauner has proposed the most destructive budget that the HIV community has seen in years. You can make a difference by traveling to Springfield with advocates from around the state to demand your legislators pass a positive budget. Frontline Workforce Association – Hiring Toolkit: Resources for Success

Many innovative and useful resources are available for job developers, but we often don’t know they exist! At this meeting, we will showcase several supports to help you in your work with both job seekers and employers. In quick 15-minute segments, these “resources” will discuss:
- Finding and making quality referrals
- Helping your employers take advantage of relevant tax credits
- No-cost financial coaching/counseling options for your job seekers
- No-cost legal support related to sealing and expungement for your job seekers with criminal records
You will have a chance to ask each presenter specific questions in order to tailor these resources to best serve your needs!
